  2. Locate the QBW32.exe file from the QuickBooks folder and right-click on it to select the Properties option.
  3. From the Signatures list, under the Digital Signature tab, click on Details.
  4. Select View Certificate and then click on Install Certificate from the certificate window.
  5. Click on Next and then hit Finish once the process ends.
  6. Restart your system and update the QuickBooks Desktop application again.

Step 2 – Edit the Security Program Exclusion List

Add the following programs and domains to the security program exclusion list –

  1. QuickBooks.com
  2. QBW32.exe
  3. Payroll.com
  4. Intuit.com
  5. Qbupdate.exe

Step 3 – Modify Your Default Browser Settings

  1. Set Internet Explorer as your default browser by modifying the browser settings to resolve the QuickBooks 15XXX series error.
  2. Open Internet Explorer and go to the Tools menu to select Internet Options.
  3. Go to the Programs tab and click the Make Default option to modify the settings.
  4. Hit OK and rerun the QuickBooks Desktop application to see if the issue is fixed.
