Shipping Companies & Forwarders
The most cost-effective way of shipping items from a seller in the United States to a buyer in Germany is through an international shipping company or forwarder.
However, there are many factors to consider when choosing which shipping from USA method will be best for your situation.
Some services specialize in a particular aspect of transportation and have more experience with it than others do, so it’s important to do your research and figure out what you need before making a decision.
Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions! If something doesn’t make sense or if you have other questions that haven’t been answered by anyone else, get on instant chat or pick up the phone and call!
Preparing for Customs
Shop and ship: Next you need to find a shipping carrier who will move your goods (and your customers’ goods) from one country to another.
In Europe, there are many options for moving your packages internationally; each has its delivery and customs service level.
Make sure you know about these differences before you hand over any money or risk incurring unexpected charges at customs. Your freight forwarder can help here, as can other companies specializing in international delivery services.
Preparing for Shipment
International shipping can be very confusing, especially when it comes to customs and VAT.
Our shipping professionals will help you navigate through all of these details so that your shipment arrives in Germany as intended.
Choose your preferred mode of transport (air or ocean) and we’ll handle everything from that point on! You’ll receive a notification once your goods have arrived, at which time you can schedule a time for pick-up or delivery.
Duties and Taxes
In some cases, you may be required to fill out customs forms when you’re shipping goods across international borders.
In addition, in some countries, shippers are required to pay import duties and taxes on incoming cargo; these costs vary from country to country.
If you’re shipping overseas (or importing goods), find out if customs forms or duties/taxes apply and what those fees entail. You don’t want any surprises when your package arrives!
