My5 (formerly Five Download and later Demand 5) is the brand name for Channel 5’s video-on-demand services in the United Kingdom. It is operated by Paramount Networks UK & Australia, which is owned by Paramount Global. CSI, House, and Grey’s Anatomy were among the US imports available for download in Windows Media Video format through Five Download.
Since June 2008, more diverse programming from Channel 5 has become available, with a greater incidence of free content available for 30 days after broadcast. Demand 5 began offering Flash Video content in January 2009, allowing consumers to watch it on their computers or mobile devices.

My5 is the primary source of on-demand content from Viacom’s Channel 5, 5Star, and Pluto TV services. It provides a seven-day catch-up service as well as a show archive.
My5 became the first television network in the world to embed its content inside the social networking site when it premiered on Facebook in August 2010.
SeeSaw
My5’s archive of shows such as Cowboy Builders, Fifth Gear, Home and Away, Neighbours, and others have been available on SeeSaw since the service’s introduction.

My5 debuted on TV.com in February 2010 with around 250 hours of archive and catch-up programming. This was TV.com’s first significant long-form content arrangement in Europe. CBS Interactive sells the advertising of channel 5 as part of the acquisition.

My5, which debuted in the United Kingdom on December 4, 2009, is also available in part on YouTube. My5’s catch-up video is available on YouTube shortly after it airs on television, and users can peruse 250 hours of the broadcaster’s library.

TV announced a Now TV-branded Roku streaming box with a Demand 5 app on July 26, 2013. On May 13, 2011, Samsung announced that Demand 5 would be available on its Smart TVs via their Samsung Smart TV service.

The My5 app will be available on Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV by 2020.
Since November 2010, Virgin Media Demand 5 has been available on Virgin Media’s cable television service, offering programmes for 7 days following the broadcast.

When YouView first launched in July 2012, there were four services available. Demand 5 was one of them. The Demand 5 app came with features such as the ability to restart watching recent shows, access favourites, explore featured shows or a full list of shows, find related shows or more episodes, and a built-in search bar when it first launched.

My5 used to act as the on-demand service for a variety of other UK channels and programme content owners, such as A+E Networks’ Blaze, until September 30th, 2021, when those agreements were terminated and it became a service for material exclusive to PNUK&A networks.
